It was a pretty exciting week! Because, I went to Brussels for two days! Read further to get to know how I ended up there, what I did in Brussels and of course what happened during the rest of the week!
I started a new block of college, which means new courses. And this time I have courses like business research, corporate finance, German and I will learn how to work with the computer program SAP! Very interesting, but even though I think I will manage to pass all of them in one go, I have the feeling that it's going to be tuff.
After school I worked on the essay I need to hand in for the extra course I'm following. At night I went to bae and finally started to watch the new season of Empire.
I woke up early, so that I could start working on the blog and the essay as soon as possible. In the afternoon I packed my bag as I was going away to Brussels for two days, the next morning. I almost packed two pairs of heels for one night haha
Than it was time to go to Amsterdam for the extra course, where we held a debate on the policies the EU has taken into account. It was pretty interesting, but sometime also a bit frustrating haha
When I got home I stayed up waaaaaaaay to late.
I woke up at 5:20, even though I hat set my alarm clock at 5:40. I only slept for five hours :( But I couldn't fall asleep anymore, so I decided to get out of bed. At around 8 I was at Amstelstation in Amsterdam where the touring bus was waiting for us. However I stil had half an hour to kill, luckily Le boyfriend also needed to be there at that time. ❤️
The bus ride took 2,5 hours , which wasn't too bad. We ( me and two other girls) talked almost the whole trip haha
Once we where in Brussels we dropped our bags at the hotel and then we went to get lunch near the European Parliament. With some other girls I ended up at the Tout Bon Café, which was pretty busy and looked very cosy. I had a grilled haloumi salad, that got have been grilled a bit more, but it was still suuuper delicious!
Afterwards we went to the European Parliament where we had a presentation and went to the room where they have the debates. Then we had time to explore the city until we met with the whole group at the The Wild West, a steakhouse. There I waited 1,5 hour until I got my food, which I didn't really appreciate... But the food was good, so after all I was happy! With a small group I visited a bar where I drank a Mojito and at 00:30 we decided to get some drinks for at the hotel where we talked and drank for another three hours haha
Waking up was rough, but luckily I didn't had a hangover. After a small breakfast we checked out and headed to the European Commission where we had another presentation. But we where tired and the presentation was far from interesting, so staying awake was a difficult challenge haha
Then it was time to find a place for lunch, which wasn't that easy as well. Finally, we decided to go to a restaurant/cafe called Pulp. Which screamed hipster!!! I absolutely looooove these types of restaurants. I had a smoothie with orange, banana, pineapple and mango. And a panini with mozzarella, eggplant, rocket leaves and prosciutto 😍
After the lunch break it was time to go to the Dutch embassy where we got another presentation..... It was okay, but I wish that we could have asked more question during the trip. Especially at the embassy, as it would have been very interesting to learn more on how the EU benefits the Netherlands... But oh well, They did had great tea though haha
As soon as the presentation was over, it was time to go to the bus and travel back to Amsterdam. Luckily I was able to sleep in the bus for a little bit less than an hour, but when I got home I was still very tired, I decided to treat myself with a bath and a bath bomb by Lush!
I skipped my first class so that I could sleep a few hours extr, but when I woke up I was still tired. Compared to the days in Brussels Friday wasn't that exciting. School was okay and for some crazy reason I got more energy at school. My last class ended at 5:00 in the afternoon....
At night I finally saw bae again!!!
This Saturday I did not go to work as I signed myself up for a Cambridge exam. So, from 9:00 until 15:00 I needed to make for English tests. And if I pass them it will look very good on my CV! It went pretty well (at least I think). In a month, I will probably know whether I passed. Such a long time!
The rest of the day I relaxed and I worked a little bit on some blog posts.
